The news of Patti’s death came as a complete shock to me just today. We knew each other for a few short years, through court reporting mostly, but her warmth and grace and loyalty to her husband in all things are unparalleled in my experience. She was instantly a friend when we met and remained so, even though years have passed without our communicating. She was a most gracious hostess, inviting me, along with my mom, into her home when we were visiting family nearby. I miss her today as if we had been lifelong friends. Don, my deepest sympathy is extended to you and Kendra and Gregg and all of your family. Lean on those closest to you and yet be apart from them as you need to. Praying for peace and comfort as found only in our Heavenly Father.

I cannot believe Patti is gone, and I was shocked to see her obituary on my Facebook page. She truly was everything written in her lovely obituary--and then some! I will never forget her. Rest in peace, Patti, and my condolences to Don and your entire family.

It is so difficult to find a few words to describe Patti because so many apply. She was the most selfless, gentle, loving, strong and caring person who valued friendships and family. I met Patti and Don through Kendra and Rick and it wasn’t long before I was treated like family. You couldn’t help but feel welcomed and loved by her. Patti was generous and giving and took great pride in making others happy. She discovered that I loved Native American art during our friendship. She had collected many beautiful pieces overtime that I now am the proud owner of. She insisted that I take them because she knew it would make me smile. That’s who she was. Patti showed the world how important family is and always should be. That legacy will live on through her children and grandchildren. I was blessed to be able to call Patti family and a friend. You will be miss greatly by all that had the pleasure of knowing you Patti. Rest In Peace my dear friend.

May we each take Patti's spirit and exhibit it in our own lives. That will be the finest tribute of all. She was a kind and wonderful person. I will hold fond memories of late evening conversations in her kitchen.

My heartfelt and deep condolences go out to the family and friends of Don and Patti Scott. I had the great privilege to spend time with Patti working together at the Myrtle Beach NVRA convention and other NVRA related functions. Patti was so generous with her time and talent to benefit the NVRA and she will be greatly missed. She was always at Don's side to help wherever she could and it was so appreciated. May she rest in peace.

Patti was such a bright and sweet spirit, always had a smile and a special calmness. I enjoyed my visits to the Scott home and loved all those clocks, the great food, and the stories, lots of love and laughter. Prayers and love to Don and Kendra and other relatives.

Patti was truly one of the most thoughtful, selfless, and uplifting people I’ve ever known....with a heart full of love. Growing up next door to Patti and her family is one of the greatest joys of my childhood memories. Although we had sadly lost touch through the years (entirely due to my lack of effort), she and the whole Scott/Sinnett family will always be a part of mine and my family’s fondest memories. I think about Patti every Christmas when I hang a wooden plaque that she had made for our family many years ago. The plaque says, ”Happy Holidays” and has little lady bugs on it that have each of our names written by them. I can see her tirelessly making it (our family is huge...so just the individual lady bugs HAD to have taken forever!). I have hung that plaque over my Christmas tree ever since she gave it to us...it’s a staple...and is another piece of evidence as to how thoughtful, loving, and giving she was. If I were a person of her great character, I would have reached out every time I hung that plaque, as I’m sure she would have done. Her love and loyalty are most evident in her children, who have made the effort to keep those ties of friendship going, and I’m grateful for them. Thank you, Patti, for your heart and the impact you’ve had me personally and on so, so many people.

Every year just before NVRA convention, we could expect the Scott's to join us for educational seminars. Patti always had a ready smile and a worthwhile suggestion, as did Don of course. All through the week, we would meet for breakfast or coffee or a drink at days end and Patti always had a hug for me, especially when I was not doing well - she could see through my façade and would gently and privately find me and instill some wisdom and that awesome Patti hug that would lift me up and redirect me toward my purpose. Convention will not be the same without her. I have so much love for the Scott's and that will never change. Now I will just talk to Patti in Prayer because I have no doubt that she is listening and will still offer support from the heavens.
God bless you Don and Kendra and Greg and Gavin and the rest of your family, I know that she will be sorely missed.
