I am truly sorry for your loss... I may not have known Yezmari for very long, but she touched my heart truly. I wish we could have met sooner. We used to stay up at night and talk about life leading up to joining the military. She had such a kind heart and true soul. I wish I could have known sooner... I knew Yezmari when she came to bootcamp.. we stood all night together on night of arrival and we would stay up all might talking the nights that we could while she stayed with our division... she was so bright and so full of life... I send my truest and most heart felt condolences to the family... when I found out today I was absolutely heart broke... I may not have knew her for very long but when we were in uniform she would be so excited because she “felt just like her mom” and she was just so proud of who she was becoming... and I was so so happy for her... I wish I could have got pictures with her.. but I will be praying for the healing of the family.. to our sweet angel and may she rest easy.

Yezmari and I haven’t seen each other in recent years, but when we were kids, we were inseparable. We were so close, we used to pretend like we were sisters. She has left a huge impact on me and it’s hard to believe she is gone. When we were together, she was so full of life, easy to talk to and always thought of fun things for us to get into. I remember sitting in her bedroom, giggling trying to think of adventurous things to do. One day we came up with an idea, that till this day puts a smile on my face. We decided to get into her suitcase and push each other down the stairs. Thinking back to it now, that probably wasn't the safest thing to do… but we had a blast! Yezmari was also very lively and expressive. She was great at talking and wanted to share her world with others. I remember when she introduced me to Post Malone and when she spoke she had a smile that was contagious. I miss our conversations and the laughs we’ve shared. As I’ve grown, I’ve noticed God has brought an amazing ray of sunshine onto this Earth. When things happen suddenly, we are given the opportunity to take a moment and reflect on the beautiful creations God has blessed us with. Yezmari is deeply missed and the positive impacts she’s had on everyone she’s encountered will never be forgotten.

Yezmari was my best friend. I loved her so much and will continue to love her unconditionally. She had a laugh that was contagious, the kind that would wake everyone up. A presence that left everyone in awe. Her spirit could shake the room. When it came to advice, she was there; a listening ear, she was there; just a good time and stress relief, she was there. I’m grateful to have experienced her as long as i did and I pray that God continues to protect her soul and spirit. She left too soon and the feeling is unsettling but may she rest peacefully and may she pass beautifully. I love you Yezmari, i’ll never stop loving you; you’re family will never stop loving you and I pray that you continue to shine bright. Sorry, I known Yezmari for a quite some time she was an amazing classmate very hard working intelligent smart women. Also, Mrs. Jones favorite math student in middle school. I am terribly saddened to hear this news. I had the good fortune of teaching Yezmari at both Gunston and Wakefield. From the time Yezmari was in my 7th-grade class, I saw a student that was extremely intelligent and also had a presence where she stood out from her peers. Yezmari and all of my former students would agree that I am not often speechless. But thinking of what to say here truly does make me speechless.

Yez, words can not express how lost and confused I feel right now. I honestly find this very hard to accept. I couldn’t be anymore grateful than I am at this moment. I lost not only my best friend but my sister and twin at heart. I miss hearing your voice and you blowing up my phone everyday. I keep looking at my phone waiting for you to message me or call me. You inspired me more than anything, you always pushed me for better things and knew exactly how I felt at all times. I really wish I could go back in time and change things, but for now god is the only one that had power. I hope he looks over you like I know you are looking over us. Nothing is the same without you. Everything I see around me reminds me of you, It’s been hard but I know I need to be strong for you. I lost you and my father and that has broken me but I know you would both want me to succeed and that’s exactly what I will do. Everything I do from now on will always be for you two. Yezmari was the little sister I never had. When I first Met her years ago, we were two peas in a pod. Wherever I went, she was right along with me. I am hurting so bad. She was so beautiful, with such a big heart. She will truly be missed.
