(Mildred) Jean Elias, 76, of Reston VA, passed away on 8 April 2020

Born on 31 May 1943, she was the daughter of the late Thomas E. Wilson and Angeline (“Angie”) Vido Wilson. In addition to her parents s/he was preceded in death by her husband of 20 years, Ernest Erich Elias and sister, Kathleen Wilson Pelino.

Jean was born in Rochester, PA. and spent the first half of her life in that area. Her fondest memories of childhood were those spent with her Grandfather and Grandmother whom she held close in heart throughout her life. Throughout her life in PA she was blessed by a rich circle of treasured friends whom she considered family. Jean spent much of her professional life in customer service, where her deep and abiding care for and interest in others always shone through in a variety of companies and sectors over her long career. Her enduring commitment to her family, particularly her adored grandchildren, took her to Maryland and eventually to Northern Virginia to be close to them and an integral part of their daily lives. Beyond her family, her passions were travel, the ocean, gardening and all things artistic and creative. Jean was a member of Restoration Church of Reston and was truly happiest when in community with and in service to others.

Her vibrant and loving spirit remains with all those who know and continue to love her.

She is survived by her daughter, Lisa L. Elias Belt, son-in-law Bruce D. Belt and beloved grandchildren Erich M. Belt and Sadie Belt also of Reston, VA.

In light of the current pandemic constraints there will be no visitation at this time.  The family is planning a celebration of Jean’s life to be held later this year when social distancing and other health considerations enable the communal gathering that would bring her joy. In the interim, a small memorial service is planned for Tuesday, 21 April at 1 PM at Adams-Green Funeral Home.
