I worked with Don at Reston Hospital for 20 years. He had a big heart and was wonderful with the patients and the staff. My sincere condolences to you and your family. May my prayers and positive thoughts provide you comfort during this difficult time.

As heartbroken as I am at Don's passing, it brings a smile to my face remembering the happier times. I've known this family for 15 years and Don welcomed me with open arms from day one. He loved Stacie and the girls and you could see the pride on his face at the numerous activities Addie and Torrie were involved with...they were his life! When I needed Gall Bladder surgery and went to Reston Hospital, Don held my hand, comforted me, and made sure I received the best care the hospital had to offer. I feel lucky and blessed to have been included in so many family functions and being a part of their lives. It comforts me knowing Don will be watching over all of us and that Stacie and the girls have a special Guardian Angel in heaven to guide them from this point forward. I love you all...PAULA

I have so many fond memories of Don. He was so kind and had a tremendous heart. I knew I could call Don and he’d be willing to help, whether it was to give the kids a ride to school, help fix something broken or just for a beer. He was an amazing father, dedicated husband, and such a good friend. My family was so lucky to have him in our lives.
My most recent fond memory of Don was celebrating my, my husband and our dear friend Christina’s birthday in Puerto Rico. Each morning, Don and I would share a cup of coffee on the balcony overlooking the beach. We would chat and enjoy the view. I looked forward to having coffee with him every morning.
Don, we love you so much and miss you everyday.
