Obituary of Carolyn Bryar Clark

Please share a memory of Carolyn to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

There are moments that the words don’t reach - Hamilton An American Musical.

Carolyn Bryar Clark, age 52, passed away Sunday July 19, 2020. She was born August 22, 1967 in Los Angles, California to Joann and Richard Bryar. She grew up in LA and El Paso, Texas with her sister Nancy and brother David. She married her best friend and love Robert in March 1996. They have three children Max, Ross and Camille.

Carolyn loved and was incredibly proud of her children and guided them to be the wonderful adults they are today, giving them the foundation upon which to build their lives. For over 20 years she and Bob were an integral part of their lives with the Broadlands Piranha’s Swim Team, Cub Scouts, and Girl Scouts.

She was an excited member of “Them Apples” her Second-Grade teaching team at Seldens Landing Elementary School. She loved teaching, beginning in El Paso, Texas, and continuing for over 20 years. She taught Third and Second Grade working long hours, connecting with each one of her students, and while exhausted she would always comment she would not do anything else and she was so lucky to love her job.

Carolyn was a huge music fan almost living her life with her own soundtrack knowing every year a particular song came out and where she was. This love included Broadway musicals that she shared with her husband and children. They were fortunate to have spent many days in New York’s Theater District, including the Holiday Season of 2019, and even working in a show in London’s West End when on a family vacation in 2018.

As stated above, the words just don’t reach, there’s no way to describe her wonderful life and the joy she brought to so many. Please join us celebrating her life Friday evening July 31, 2020, between 5:00 and 8:00 pm at Adams Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, Virginia. In lieu of flowers please make donations to the Junior Diabetes Research Foundation as Carolyn always wanted to see her dream of a cure for her daughter come true. (https://www2.jdrf.org)
