Vinnie and my mom resided at the same Memory Care facility.
Vinnie was always so friendly, helpful, and great to chat with.
He will be greatly missed.
God Bless Vinnie and his family.

Lynn,
I love your obituary about Vinnie. He will always hold a unique place in my heart and I can understand how you fell in love with him. You were the angel in his life. I think of the two years we spent together at Great Falls and I know with all my heart that we would never have made it without one another. I realize that Vinnie’s life was far bigger than his disease and that I was only privileged to know him during his illness. It is difficult to reconcile that I would have never met so many dedicated husbands, wives, adult children and friends if our loved ones had not suffered from Dementia. Life is filled with so many conflicts and challenges but along the way we meet some outstanding folks who encourage and sustain us. I have said it before and I will continue to say it, in Vinnie’s eyes and in the eyes of all victims of Dementia, I see Christ on the Cross and they deserve love and respect. Vinnie was important to all of us until the day he died and he will always be a part of who we are.
God Bless you, Lynn.

I am at a loss for words trying to give just an example of how much Vinny meant to me. When we met he was moving into Great Falls Assisted Living and I was the Activity Coordinator. We immediately bonded and over time became great friends. I did not have the pleasure of knowing Vinny before the disease however if he was anything like the man I spent every day with for 3 years, those that knew him were very lucky people. I have so many memories with Vinny I cannot pick just one so here are some of my favorites. Vinny loved to eat(although he never gained a pound), he was always ready for whatever silly activity I had planned, and not to mention busting a move on the dance floor with a good entertainer(which is why I called him happy feet). However my favorite memory of all was the way he looked when he saw Lynn, he showed me what it looked like to love. As a newly married woman that meant the world. Vinny saved me and helped mold the person I am today. He was a hard worker, a loving husband and father, and an all around amazing person. He will forever be missed.
