Belatedly - just heard — So sorry to lose such a special person so young. Dan and Gail were my sponsors in West Germany at 1/37 armor in Katterbach FRG in 1979.
Her infectious spirit made a great welcome to a pretty important part of my life.
I’m so proud of what, and who she was, became to be, and will be for me always.
My thoughts are with you.

I've known Gail since my teenage years but have not been in touch much over the last years. Her accomplishments were amazing and wonderful. I knew she had accomplished a lot but did not appreciate the scope until I read her obit. She left a mark on so many people that will live on. I always considered her my friend and though we lost touch in the last years, I will remember her for the good times we had together in Germany and on visits to each others homes. Her home in Montclair growing up was always a favorite one to visit.
My family's condolences to Dan and all the Kinsey/Korsym family. I know she went through a lot and now she is in a better place. Her life deserves a celebration and I think she will be smiling down then.
God bless you all

I will always remember Gail as the best Godmother anyone could ever have. She was always totally full of life and I have a hard time picturing her without that massive smile on her face! It’s hard to imagine the world without her especially after the fight she put up. We will miss you!

Like so many other lucky people, Gail gathered me up at a stressful time in my life. She welcomed me into her home and helped me make the transition to our new lives in Ansbach, Germany. Those memories of the beginning of our wonderful friendship are almost 40 years old but still bright and warm. Though we were separated by distance and busy lives, we still stayed in touch. I especially hold dear her call to me when my mom died. I will remember her vibrant soul and humor and will always stand in awe of her dedication to following her dreams. Our love to the family, Bob and Connie Dawson

Gail always had a smile, a beautiful smile that made people feel at ease immediately. She was beautiful, smart, at the center of her heart was her family, her love for and mentoring of students was obvious; she has left a legacy. RIP dear Gail. To Dan and children, you were loved by this great lady and, in time, may the pain of loss be replaced by smiles as you reminisce.

Gail meant so much to me as a young administrator because she showed value and vulnerability. Larger than life and humble of spirit at the same time, I will fondly remember cracking jokes at principal meetings, traveling to conferences in Nashville and Baltimore, and eating crabs and canoeing on the Chesapeake Bay. All of this fun happened with someone who really could have been my mother, and in some ways, she was to all who she met. I am deeply saddened that she has physically left us, relieved that she is at peace from her struggles, and greatly grateful for having known her. My sincerest condolences to the whole family and gratitude for you having shared her with us.

Gail was the light that helped me through a difficult year of teaching. She shone brightly for myself and our team. She offered kind words, prayers, comforting emails, and little gifts to let us know she was here, with us, and we could always lean on her for support.
Gail, THANK YOU for being You. For never allowing your light to grow dim, even in the strongest of dark storms. You are the best example of Never Give Up and I will Never forget you or what you gave to me.
Prayers and light to your family.
