Julia Wilfong, age 79, went peacefully to be with the Lord on November 27th in Reston, Va. She was born on August 6, 1941 in Maryland to Calvin and Hazel Twilley.
She is now reunited with her loving husband, Verl Wilfong, who preceded her in death. Judy is survived by her two children, Jeff Wilfong and Jennifer Crim; her 6 grandchildren, Ashley Crim, Dakota Crim, Samantha Crim, Casey Wilfong, Ariana Wilfong and Skyla Wilfong.
Judy was a dedicated mother first and foremost. She was especially fond of her role as grandma/meemaw as well. She was one of the kindest people you would ever meet and she always put others before herself. Judy was also very humorous and always added fun and joy to any gathering. She had a way about her that could make everyone comfortable and happy.
For many years, she worked for the National Credit Union Association. She was always a hard worker and took pride in her accomplishments.
She was an active member of Galilee United Methodist Church for as long as she was able. She volunteered and gave donations to so many when she could.
Family meant everything to her and she felt so blessed to have married into such a kind and loving family. She looked forward every year to family reunions and anytime she could spend with all of us. Judy absolutely loved to travel and made sure that her children enjoyed a family trip every summer together. She loved everything Disney and passed that love onto her family.
Her service will be livestreamed due to the restrictions of Covid. You can access any information about her or the services by Monday evening through Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, Va. Their website is www.adamsgreen.com.
When restrictions from Covid have eased, we plan to have a Celebration of Life to share memories and honor her.
