Bill will keep you in our thoughts and prayers
Kathy attended all of our AFOWC events in her many fun hats. She always had a smile & spoke such kind words to everyone she met. She never met a stranger. Bill you & Kathy as our fun BINGO callers too. Aww the memories of you two as such great mentors and role models.

Aunt Katie was more than just aunt, she was also my god mother. She was always their to defend me and encourage me. We always had to sit down and have that intelligent conversation. I enjoyed visiting her and Uncle Bill all over the country. They made sure they were always around for all the special events in my life. I found some old pictures when Debbie was born and her first trip to Radio City. The outfit for Radio City was bought by Aunt Katie. I love you and will miss you, but will never forget our memories together

We had a wonderful aunt,
One who never really grew old;
Her smile was made of sunshine,
And her heart was solid gold!
We'll miss you, Aunt Katie!

“Aunt K8E” will always be our real-life “Auntie Mame.” Just like the fictional character created by Patrick Dennis and brought to the Broadway stage by Jerome Lawrence (coincidentally, a creator of Armed Forces Radio), she’d regal us with great “intelligent conversations!” of her trips and tours around the world with Uncle Billy. When I was just 9 or 10, she taught me how to make the perfect Manhattan cocktail (“just a hint of sweet vermouth”).
In 1968, during one of Uncle Billy’s tours of Vietnam, I was Aunt Katie’s ‘date’ to see the new Beatles’ movie, “Yellow Submarine,” at the Hicksville (NY) movie theatre. To this day, when asked to name my favorite song from the Fab Four, I choose the title track of this movie because of Aunt Katie!
In later years, we all shared milestone events with her and LOTS of mundane ones too. We enjoyed many memorable dinners at her favorite New York City restaurants, and a couple of Army – Air Force games at West Point (Go Falcons!) She will always hold a special place in our hearts for her ability to make us laugh - and think! Rest in peace, Aunt Katie. Thanks for teaching us that “life is a banquet!”
