Obituary of Ronald Lee Rohrbaugh

Ronald Lee Rohrbaugh passed away peacefully at his home on December 24, 2020.

 

Ron was born on March 13, 1950 in Washington DC to Foster and Helen Rohrbaugh. He grew up with one brother Foster G. Rohrbaugh Jr. (Gary).

 

He graduated from George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, Virginia in 1968

and after high school, completed a 4 year apprenticeship on his way to a long career as a journeyman electrician.

 

He met the love of his life, Kathy and they were married August 25, 1973 and from this union

they had two children, son Eric born in 1976 and daughter Laurie born in 1978.

 

Ron retired in 2012 after working a long career as an electrician. After retirement, he enjoyed working part time for Northern Virginia Family Service. He had a true passion for the well being of children, which was shown through his post retirement job, as well as his many years of teaching Sunday school.

 

Ron lived a fruitful and happy life, extremely dedicated to his faith, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Foster Rohrbaugh Sr.

 

Ron is survived by his mother Helen, his wife Kathy, his brother Foster (Gary), his two children Eric and Laurie, his daughter-in-law Stephanie, his grandchildren and step grandchildren, Nathaniel, Isaac, Hannah, Haley, Jacob, Luke, Tyler, Hannah, and Leah.

 

In lieu of flowers, the family is asking for donations to Northern Virginia Family Service, because of his passion for this organization.
