Obituary of Terrell Franklin Waters

Terrell Franklin Waters, 89, of Ashburn, VA, passed away peacefully on December 24, 2020 in the presence of his loving sons.

Born on May 31, 1931 he was the son of the late Terrell Franklin Waters and the late Leila Windham Waters. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years Vivian M. Waters and his sister Audrey Gaultney Waters.

Terrell received an AA from Georgia Southwestern University, an AB from Mercer University and a master’s degree from George Mason University.  He served in the US Marine Corps for 3 years and then worked at Warner Robbins Air Force Base.  He then come to Washington, DC and worked for Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Department of Labor in the HR field.

Terrell was a member of the United Methodist Church and served as president of the Men’s club and a trustee at Crossman UMC in Falls Church.  He was an avid reader and enjoyed being a realtor during his retirement.  He was a kind man and will be sorely missed.

He is survived by his son Terrell F. Waters III and his wife Isabel Vega Waters and his son Victor A. Waters and his wife Mary Kirtley Waters and two grandchildren: Joseph Waters (Danielle Blot) and James Waters.

A private burial will be determined later.
