Annie was such a big presence in our lives. From the first moment we met, she treated us like like family. She would always make a special effort to entertain and spoil Vaughn and Remy when we came to visit. She would fill the house with bowls of candy and give the kids so many gifts. We would spend hours talking, hearing Annie tell stories, and enjoying her delicious cooking and baking. She made a chocolate cake like nobody's business. And her crab salad made me feel truly special. Annie was unique in so many ways. There was a calmness about her as well as a simultaneous bright energy. She enjoyed discussing so many topics, including Nationals games! She was truly kind and knew how to make you feel special - it was effortless for her. Annie loved her family and extended family so much. She will be missed by all of us.
