Jenni was light and airy like a fairy.
A former dancer, she floated through life.
Our gal was well read and very introspective and at times she found life hard. Over the years as my dear friend, we could go stretches without talking but every time we caught up we fell back into our friendship like a comfortable old shoe. Over the last few days, I have watched her put her cute little cardigans on in my head .....again and again. There was a certain way she used to smooth out her clothes with her fingers and this memory is very distinct . I can see her now standing at her closet bare footed and relating a story and putting on either her light gray, pink, or white sweater from Anne Taylor Loft. She was a gifted story teller; although she would sometimes get off track. When she loved you, she loved big. She wove you into the threads of her favorite clothes and took you with her everywhere. She adored her Kate Spade purses. Most of all she loved Andrew. As a young child, Andrew was very gifted in many ways and nurturing these gifts was Jenni’s number one job. His card games at hobby stores were his passion and Jenni was devoted to making sure that he got to practice this hobby. Jenni was also devoted and adoring of her nieces and nephew. When we taught together and shared an office, I can’t mention this without hearing her laugh. She had a fantastic laugh and smirk that was a bit like what one might imagine on the visage of a leprechaun. I can see distinct images in my head of her sharing all her beauty product reviews with me. Coloring pencils, freckle cream, and so many other fantastic products she would be so excited to share. My memory is flooded of her and I think her graceful movements will be with me forever. I can’t believe our little ballerina has left us. Love you...Jenni... leap amongst the clouds and suspend from moon beams. I will look for you in the stars. On gossamer wings you will surely fly dear ballerina.
