I have known Beverly for many, many years. When her hairdresser retired I did her hair up to my retirement. Being the straight forward gal she was I always knew if I had done a good job or not. I appreciated that in her. She would come in the salon with Ben in tow so I got to visit with him also. After I retired we spoke often on the phone. Many times our calls were cut short if Jeanne or Holly were trying to reach her. Oh, how she loved her family. I never met her family but I feel as I know each and every one of them. She was so proud of them. Beverly would be so excited when it was time for her winter trip to Florida. Jeanne planned each detail so Beverly never had to worry. Beverly was very generous. Under that tough exterior was a heart of gold. She seemed to know everyone in Fairfax County. Often she would share stories from her many years at Virginia Kitchen. There will never be another Beverly. Once you met her you never forgot her. I am so happy that Jeanne was holding her hand at the end of her life. She deserved that. I will miss my friend. We shared a health issue which we discussed often. And we discussed a health issue that our husbands shared. I am so happy that she had so much love in her life. She deserved it especially since she had had some difficult years earlier. My prayers and love to Ben and all her family.

My mother and I have known Bev for many years. We are both deeply sadden to hear of her passing! Bev was a dear friend, great waitress and awesome lady! We enjoyed seeing and talking with her and Goldie at the Va. Kitchen for many years. Mom will miss the phone chats she had with her over the years past. Her family are in our thoughts and prayers!

I met Beverly while visiting my Mom and I just loved her warm and welcoming personality. I looked forward to seeing her whenever we had the opportunity talk for a while. She spoke of her family with so much love and shared memories she had of my Dad and some of the other law enforcement officers she knew many years ago (funny stories). I only had the pleasure of talking with her a few times but I will always remember her positive energy, kind and caring heart and her ability to brighten the day. My thoughts and prayers go out to all of Beverly's family and friends...may God bless you and comfort you.♡
