Dear Simons,
We are heart-broken after learning this news just recently. John was a personality of force, delight, enthusiasm. I can see so many imagines of him in my mind. Just now, I remembered him patiently hiding in the fall leaves to scare trick or treaters. John was a special childhood friend to Catherine, I can recall hours of those two playing outside together, rigging up a wagon to the slide and tasking turns going down it. As a family we were lucky to know such a playful spirit as John. On his good days, John was filled with joy. Handsome, strong and energetic, I am glad to have known you, John.
