My family was so very sad to hear this news. Mrs. Kelly taught my daughter Autumn in 4th grade, and for years, she has insisted that Mrs. Kelly was her absolute favorite teacher. She still sings songs Mrs. Kelly taught her, and talks about some of the fun and memorable projects her class did. My daughter was also in the school musical, and was really uplifted by Mrs. Kelly's support and enthusiasm. Her passing is a terrible loss for countless children who were nurtured and educated by her, and for their parents who appreciated her warmth and encouragement.

Godspeed Jolie. I’ll miss our daily words with friends games. You were an incredible educator and the effect you had on your students is immeasurable. I’m proud to have been a colleague and friend. I’ll remember you always, especially on 9/11; standing arm in arm, watching my classroom tv while your class did morning work across the hall before specials. Jolie was a wonderful and creative 5th grade teacher to both of my daughters when they were at Bull Run. I remember all the fun and learning they had in her class! Even more, I remember all of the camaraderie and laughs we had working together on many theater productions at BRES, Elden Street , and lastly at Hunter Woods ES! Jolie was a kind, caring and giving soul. She will be missed.
