Shri Veeravenkata Satyanarayana Muddada of Bangalore, India, a beloved husband, father, and grandfather, peacefully entered his eternal rest at hospice facility here in Ashburn, VA on September 24th, 2021 at the age of 66.

 

Born on September 5th, 1955 in Ramachandrapuram, Andhra Pradesh, India to Late Smt. Sanyasamma and Late Shri. Perraju Muddada. He was the fourth of five siblings in a humble family that valued education. Satyanarayana graduated in bachelor’s in commerce from Kakinada and early in his career he was advised to pursue a career in the banking industry which he did and started his first job at Canara Bank in Bangalore in 1980. He worked hard to get himself certified as Chartered Financial Analyst (ICFAI) and Associate of Indian Institute of Bankers (CAIIB). He got exposed to importance of information technology during his work at Canara Bank and made a conscious change in career path. He is survived by his loving family - wife Smt. Devi Kumari and children that currently reside in India and US.

After working in India for several years, Satyanarayana immigrated to the U.S. in 1991 and worked his way up into management positions in the information technology industry working for companies like Oracle Corporation, IBM and others as a Global Program Director, PMO Lead, IT Strategist and Change Management Specialist. He had developed a deep passion for process and methodology correctness and invested his time immensely to become a certified ITSM Expert practitioner assisting with ITSM Strategy, Training, Process Maturity, Audits and continual Service Improvement planning and implementation. He was deeply respected by peers, management, clients for his exemplary work ethics and given accolades and recognition many a times in his career. He will always be remembered as a true professional and friend by all his colleagues.

Satyanarayana was always there as a bedrock for his family and provided gentle non-judgmental advice to his kids at different times of their growing years. Despite his demanding career pursuits, he had at all times exemplified himself as someone that always had time to provide his shoulder, listen, guide to anyone seeking his advice. He will be missed for his thoughtfulness by his family and friends as he used his extraordinary foresight to think of the not so obvious. He was an astute planner and provided the family a platform to build on the pursuit to happiness of their lives.

 

In his spare time, Satyanarayana a soft natured man of few words loved going on small trips with family and friends, listening to music, gardening, reading books and market analysis. During his short-lived retirement years, he was very active with his community and made lot of friends that stood by him during all times. He will be dearly missed by all of his family and friends.

 

The funeral will be held on Sunday, September 26th, 2021 at 10 AM-1PM EST at the Adams-Green Funeral Home & Crematory, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA 20170. In lieu of flowers, donations may be sent please in memory of Veeravenkata Satyanarayana Muddada to:
