Obituary of Dale Arthur Wright

Please share a memory of Dale to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

On Saturday, December 18, 2021, Dale Arthur Wright, devoted father of 2 daughters, and grandfather of 2 grandsons, passed away at age 49.

Dale was born on October 16, 1972 in El Paso, Texas to George and Sandra Wright.  He moved with his family to Northern Virginia in 1979 and attended South Lakes High School.  He entered the U.S. Navy at age 18 where he served as a corpsman.  He was stationed in several locations including Portsmouth, VA and Bethesda Naval Hospital.  He married his first wife Mandy in 1992 and had his first daughter, Leah.  After leaving the Navy, Dale moved to Idaho where he married his second wife Melissa and had his second daughter, Cara.  Dale moved back to Virginia in 2011, and worked as an OR Technician at Reston Surgical Center.

Dale's love for music was eclipsed only by his love and devotion to his daughters and grandsons.  His close relationship to his family was very important to him, and after returning to Virginia, he often said how happy he was to be closer than ever to his siblings.  Dale also enjoyed the outdoors, especially fishing and hiking, and was an excellent cook.  He enjoyed these endeavors best when he was able to share them with friends and family.

Dale is survived by his father George Jr., his mother Sandy, his brother George, his sister Raquel, his daughters Leah and Cara, his grandsons Jace and Lorenzo, along with aunts, cousins and nieces.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, December 30, 2021 at St. Timothy's Episcopal Church on Van Buren Street in Herndon at 11:00 a.m.  Masks are mandatory.
