Obituary of Ajay Pankaj Parashar

Please share a memory of Ajay to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Ajay Parashar was a loving and caring husband to Rita and a proud papa to two young boys Rian (3) and Neil (9). He left this world suddenly on Jan. 29th 2022 at the young age of 39 years, exactly two months short of his BIG 40th Birthday that he had so many plans for.

Ajay was a pharmacist who completed Master of Pharmaceutical Sciences from Northeastern University in Boston, and Master of Drug Development and Management from University of Southern California. His cumulative GPA for all these programs was 3.9 He was Co-inventor for 7 Granted US Patents and 20+ Patent Applications Worldwide. His Intellectual property supports 3 Product Franchises with >1 Billion USD in product sales/year. He was working as Senior Director, Global Oncology Regulatory Strategy for Merck KGaA and making lives better for his patients. Recognizing his leadership qualities, he got promoted to the new role as Head of Global Regulatory Affairs Oncology and Companion Diagnostics with a start date of Feb 7, 2022. He was so excited and grateful for this promotion, but January 29th interrupted everything. He left us all so suddenly.

He was a visiting Faculty at the School of Medicine, University of Pennsylvania, where he was loved by his students and colleagues for his practical knowledge and insights about FDA regulations. His student feedback had been super excellent, and he was invited to train other faculty members at the School in effective teaching.

He has previously worked and formed excellent friendships with colleagues at AstraZeneca, Gaithersburg, MD; Allergan, Irvine, CA; GlaxoSmithKline, RTP, NC; and CVS Pharmacy, Morrisville, NC. He was full of positive energy, always encouraging his friends and family to be the best version of themselves. He was motivating and encouraging youngsters in the family to study hard and make a great future.

Ajay was a caring son of Dr. Sat Paul Parashar and Renu Parashar. He was second to none in whatever he did, had a lot of friends, and would always beat his elder brother Vijay at the game of ping pong.

Ajay made a difference in so many lives and his legacy will be fondly remembered. There can be no better husband, father, son or brother than our Ajay.
