Obituary of Michael Shannon Williams
Michael may have passed away on 2/18/22 but he will always live in the memories of those who knew him. Michael wanted everyone to be the best versions of themselves and lived with a selfless abandon to take care of and make others happy. He was always willing to listen and help in any way he could. Michael was a class act, with strong ideals, boundless generosity and a penchant for making anyone around him feel good. People were drawn to Michael's quick wit, ability to spin a good yarn, tell a joke and jovial nature to tease and include everyone. His love of life and laughter were contagious.
Although Michael had quite the presence and we all knew he had a heart of gold, he was also a very private and sentimental person. He found joy in music, children, family, dogs (not cats), photobombing, Sunday Fundays, golf, the Capitals (except Carlson) and the Raiders football team. He relished good bourbon, his friends and great conversations.
Michael, or Elvis as some will fondly remember him by, will be immensely missed by the people whose lives he touched. Michael is leaving behind his wife, two grandsons, stepdaughter, mother, brother, sister-in-law, niece, nephew, aunt, uncle, and three cousins - all of whom he loved and who deeply loved him. Michael was a rarity in this world and will certainly be irreplaceable.
Michael was a strong advocate for all children. In 2020, one of his grandsons was diagnosed with Type 1 diabetes at the age of six and it significantly affected Michael. Please consider donating to the Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation www.jdrf.org in Michael's name.
This tribute could go on endlessly. There aren't enough words to express the amount of love for Michael and sorrow of his passing. But Michael wouldn't have wanted anyone to be unhappy. Please come together for the celebration of his life and share your stories of what an amazing person Michael was and the positive impact he had on your life. If you have pictures you want to share, please reach out to his wife, Debbie, @ lockdr@izerg.com. Please feel free to leave pictures and stories below.
