I knew Eric from smash bros, but was lucky to play other online games with him. What I remember most is his unique sense of humor and how he'd always shoot a quick grin after telling an unexpected joke. Always quick witted and a good friend, we miss you.

I used to talk to Eric extremely frequently at night over online chat. I will always remember him as a good, funny guy who loved getting good at games. The one time I was over at his home his mother was very kind to me, I want to send her my condolences and assurance that all of us from the Fairfax Smash community that knew him have fond memories of him.
This is a picture I took of Eric and his friend, Max, at a Smash tournament in 2014. I found it to be serendipitous, just felt like sharing it.

Eric was so welcoming to my friend Khalin and I when we first started attending smash bros gatherings. One of my favorite memories of him is when he and I teamed up for doubles at a weekly tournament. He was so much fun to be around and I was always excited to see him at weekly gatherings. I'll always treasure the time I got to spend playing smash with him and the other great people in the community. My thoughts and prayers go out to his family. Rest in peace Eric.

Eric was a really good friend to a lot of people. I always liked seeing him and talking to him at our weekly smash fests and tournaments because of how funny and interesting he was. He had a really unique sense of humor that I think a lot of people appreciated. I have a lot of good memories just playing games with him and getting fast food and just talking about our jobs or random things here and there. Rest easy bud, we'll all miss you

Eric was one of the people that influenced my life today after meeting him for the first time at a gaming night back in 2014. At the time, we both went to different colleges studying different things, but we both became friends that would constantly stay up a wee bit late and play online games in the evenings. He would bring laughter and life to others in a way no one would expect, and because of it, he indirectly taught me a different way of looking at life.
As I'm writing this up and looking back at our old chat and message logs, more and more memories of us hanging out start to come back. He truly was a good friend and he will be missed.

It was always great seeing Eric at the weekly smash bros gatherings at a friends house. One of my favorite memories is whenever I saw Eric at these weekly gaming nights, he would ask about my best friend Matt and ask how he was doing. My best friend Matt stopped attending these weekly gatherings years ago. Matt never thought anyone remembered who he was but Eric always found time to talk with Matt and I. Even after Matt stopped visiting, Eric would always ask me how he was doing and it made me very happy that he asked.
The basement will miss you man.

Eric was a dear friend to me and many others. He was a remarkable human being and will be profoundly missed by all. I always admired how principled he was and loved his ability to surprise you with his humor. Eric would play the piano beautifully, and my fondest memories of him were when we would talk about music together because he would always talk so passionately about it. There are never enough words to be said regarding such great loss but all of his friends are sending Eric's family their most heartfelt condolences and caring thoughts.
