Obituary of Carmella A. Ott

On Friday, March  17, 2023, Carmella Arlene Del Vecchio Ott passed away at Shenandoah Sr. Living in Front Royal, VA.  She was surrounded by her family in her passing.  Born in Pittsburgh, Pa on 1.29.1936. She was the daughter of Benjamin Del Vecchio  and Palma Case, both predeceased.

Surviving Carmella are her loving husband of 63 years, Richard Ott (Linden, VA),

her four children: Sherry Weissman (new Bern, NC), married to Eric Weissman, (New Bern , NC)  Elaine Ott (VA), Carol Ross (Linden, Va) married to Steven Ross (Linden, VA). and Richard Ott (Sterling, VA) and her grandchildren David  Weissman, Jason DeHenzel, Stacey Luparello,  Alexander Ott, Natalie Ott, Madeleine Ross and Meredith Ross.

Carmella was a devout Catholic and a member of Our Lady of Hope as a CCD teacher in Sterling, Va.  She worked at Prison Fellowship and retired in 1998. She adored her family and cherished family gatherings.  She was small in stature, but mighty in personality.  She was a great cook and her handmade manicotti was loved by many.  Everyone knew Carmella!  

She was enormously proud of her family, who will cherish her memory and miss her immensely
