Janet was a very caring and thoughtful friend. The craft group met monthly to make crafts and Janet's projects were always the best. We always enjoyed football and potluck dinners. Janet's chili was so delicious. We have very fond memories of our shared vacations to the Outer Banks, exploring the lighthouses, shopping, working on counted cross stitch projects, boiled shrimp night dinners and of course the beach.

Janet and I shared our love for dogs and enjoyed the stories we had to share. I looked forward to Bridge games at her house because I always received a greeting accompanied with a wet nose nudging my hand for the treat (numerous dogs over the years).
Anyone who knew Janet knew of her talent for sewing.
Not only did she and Nancy make many of the Gotta Dance costumes, they made an assortment of Christmas ornaments which are unique. Janet will be missed by many of us. There will be an empty chair at the Thursday Lunch Bunch gathering.

Janet was my dearest friend for over 50 years. We shared news and stories of our families and friends. Plus enjoyed our many shopping trips, sewing projects, travels, bridge, the Gotta Dance Troupe, beaches, Snow babies, and working together at the U.S. Geological Survey for many years. Janet had me laughing at everything including our aches and pains as we shared our chocolates. She was serious, however, when she said she would not drive if she had to make a left-hand turn! How I will miss her sense of humor through the emails and many photos we shared after I moved out-of-state.
There are good friends in our lives but, a best friend is the greatest gift. I know Janet is safe in God's hands and that is such a comfort but, I will miss her dearly.
Russ and I send our prayers for Michael, Sharon and their families.

Thank you so much, Janet, for inviting and urging me to join the Gotta Dance group! You were so great at figuring out costumes for each dance, and for so many people. I believe we had at one time at least 40 people in the group, so you took on a lot of responsibility sewing for each dance. Belonging to the group was a highlight of my life and I thank you for that. We also played bridge together for years and sometimes we'd get lost in conversations about ourselves and our families' lives. Great times! I'm so happy to have had you in my life, Janet, and will

Thank you Janet, for inviting me to join the Loudoun County Senior ladies tap group It was one of the highlights of my life. You and Nancy designed beautiful costumes for all the dances and were admired by everyone. You've been a great friend to me and I will always have a special place in my heart for you. I loved our bridge playing days, too, which lasted many years. We miss you and I can imagine you having a bridge game with 3 other friends who have passed. May God bless you and your family!
