Obituary of Eric Paul Eldridge
Eric Paul Eldridge
Reston, VA
And into the forest I go, to lose my mind and find my soul ~John Muir
Eric Eldridge passed quietly and unexpectedly on June 23, 2023 in the comfort of his own home next to his true love, Lisa, and his handsome Afghan hounds, Simcha and Zev. Eric lived his life to the fullest, outside of the cave, exploring mountains and forests, often culminating in endurance events.
Eric worked for years in service of the federal government and most recently in private consulting. His true passions were in music, wellness, and adventure. For those who were lucky enough to cross his path, Eric was known as a kind, gentle, reflective, and mindful human.
He is preceded in death by his father, Karl, and is survived by his loving wife Lisa Folb, his mother, Shirley, and his three brothers Ron (Ann), Walt (Janet), and Bob (Karen) and many nieces and nephews.
Eric’s memorial will be on Monday, June 26 at 1 pm at Northern Virginia Hebrew Congregation, 1441 Wiehle Avenue, Reston, VA 20190.
Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid in broadside in a cloud of smoke, thoroughly used up, totally worn out, and loudly proclaiming "Wow! What a Ride! ~Hunter S. Thompson
