WOW! What can I say? She was my BESTEST friend ever and we went to a lot of places together. I was her shadow! She and I had a lot of fun times together even at a laundry mat we'd see who could fold the clothes the fastest. I always helped with the catering that she and dad would do for different functions. I really enjoyed that. I have A LOT of memories with her growing up. When she stayed with us while her house was being built just right out my backdoor we watched them work on it every day. I'm so glad that she wanted to move closer to her "baby girl" ~ she and I had A LOT of fun times here as well. It's not the same without her. We always had her and Bennie up for dinner on Sundays or even during the week sometimes and now it's not the same! I have too many memories of sitting here at the kitchen table that she grew up sitting at just talking, eating, singing and her and Tim dancing here in the kitchen! Mom I miss you something terrible! I want to call you every night like before and now I just sit and cry because I don't have you to talk to. I still see and can hear when you took your last breath with me right by your side ~ I will never forget that! I love you so flippin much mom!!! You were/are my WORLD!! I'll always be your baby girl no matter how old I get. I could go on and on but I'll just say this...... I LOVE & MISS YOU MORE THEN THE WATER IN THE OCEAN MOM!!!!

I first met Rubie in 1991 at a VFW District Auxiliary Meeting in Dale City. She was a great mentor to many members in the VFW Auxiliary. She served many years as the Auxiliary President of VFW Auxiliary 9478 in Sterling. Rubie lived a principled life - guided by a strong sense of right and wrong. She never took short cuts when doing a job. To her family, thank you for sharing your mother, grandmother and great grandmother with all of us in the Department of Virginia VFW Auxiliary. Know she is loved and respected by many members across the Commonwealth of Virginia.

Where do I begin? She was THE most amazing Mom, best friend, confidante and precious soul there ever was. I'm so lost without her, but I know she is with my Dad, Paul Bolen and her parents, Delaney and Maxine Frazier. I'm sure they're having a grand old time. Rest easy Mom. You deserve it. You lived a full life with many memories left behind for all of us to cherish and remember you. I love you to the Moon and back a trillion times. I miss you Mom!! Sadie misses you too.
