Obituary of Rubie Frazier Bolen

Rubie F. Bolen, age 89 of Chesterfield, VA passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 16, 2023 at her home with her family by her side.  Rubie was born on February 27, 1934 in the Plains, VA. Besides being a dedicated homemaker and mother, Rubie also worked for 24 years as a Pharmacy Clerk for Giant Food Stores in the Sterling area.

Rubie was also a lifetime member for the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW in Sterling, VA and was a member of the Sterling Ruritan Club.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Paul W. Bolen and her parents, Delaney and Maxine Frazier of Middleburg, VA.

Rubie is survived by her three daughters, Pam A. Whetstone (Mike), Bonnie K. Bolen, and Lorraine Y. Anders (Tim); one son, William (Bennie) B. Bolen; two brothers, Bergie Frazier (Nancy) and Delaney Frazier (Marcia) along with nine grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren.

A visitation will be held on Saturday morning, July 22, 2023 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm at Adams Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St. Herndon, VA.  Funeral services will immediately follow at the funeral home at 1:00 pm with Pastor Scott Bach-Hansen officiating.  Interment services will occur at 2:00 pm on Saturday at Sterling Cemetery in Sterling, VA.
