I can't believe she's gone. Time has a way of slipping away and for this, I carry some guilt. I was hopeful to see Steph this summer, to catch up- it's on me that time got away and our visit didn't happen.
Steph was my first friend at O'Connell. We clicked instantly and were fast friends. She was my partner in crime through various high school adventures and we carried on our shenanigans post grad as roommates.
Steph was the only Dead Head you'll ever meet wearing Laura Ashley- she was truly one of a kind. I hold close to my heart memories of being teenagers in the 80's, her deb debut, trips, concerts, parties, late night talks, and macaroni and cheese dinners out of a box after a night out. I miss her laugh; infectious.
Sending an outpouring of heartfelt condolences to
Mr. and Mrs. Hodges, Carrie and her family, Tommy and his family, and of course, Tim, Ava and Hill.
Sincerely,
Kim (Falk) Chenen

First I met Stephanie as a parent. I was lucky enough to be Ava's kindergarten teacher. Then as a colleague at Aldrin and finally as a friend. She was funny, caring, and brave. She frequently shared stories about her family. Her face especially lit up when speaking about her children. May her actions and our memories of her be a blessing to us all.

Aunt Stephanie was a warrior. She never failed to amaze her family on how hard she fought her battle with cancer. Steph was a true inspiration as she strived for a normal life through work, college visits to her kids, baseball games and vacations at the beach all while receiving chemotherapy treatments. One of my favorite memories of Steph was when the cousins (Ava, Hill, Elaina, and myself (Marissa)) were upstairs dancing to a Katy Perry song at Grammie and Poppop’s house. Steph walked into the room and we all paused for a moment and she simply laughed and said “by all means don’t stop because I am here.” She brought such a joy to everyone she was around and was one of the most amazing mother, friend, aunt, and people I have ever met. I love you Steph, smile down on us from heaven. - Marissa

Stephanie and I were high school acquaintances. I was impressed by her smile, her lightheartedness, and her posture! Somewhere between HS and College, I was like, "What? When did Stephanie start following The Grateful Dead?" Stephanie was someone you just enjoyed being around. She lives on in her family. When you raise children, and when you spend that many years together... you just know what she would have said...in all situations. Her advice is right there. You will be okay. You will be stronger over time. You will be proud. You will be thankful that out of all the moms/aunts/sisters/daughters/cousins/wives in the world, YOU GOT HER> Thanks for always being awesome, Stephanie. Hug you in heaven, Jeanne C.

I am so very sorry for your loss. I had the honor of being one of Stephanie's high school classmates at Bishop O'Connell and her co-worker at Laura Ashley after college. We wore English florals with the best of them! Stephanie is a bright light that will never be dimmed. Sending you peace and comfort - Janene Corrado
