Obituary of Stephanie Hodges Naski

Stephanie Lynn Hodges Naski was born in Washington, D.C., the daughter of Diane Locker Hodges and Thomas G. Hodges, Jr.  Stephanie was predeceased by her mother Diane in 1993.  She attended Marymount Junior School, was a graduate of Bishop O’Connell High School, and attended Marymount University in Arlington, Virginia.  From age 7 she was an enthusiastic swimmer for Washington Golf and Country Club, a place where she formed friendships that lasted throughout her life.

In 1995, Stephanie married Timothy Paul Naski and they were blessed with two children, Ava and Hill.

Stephanie was the consummate mom.  Her focus was her children and, with Tim, she devoted her life to nurturing them and preparing them for productive lives.  Stephanie was known for her love to laugh, her outgoing personality, passion for Grateful Dead music, and her desire for anything chocolate.  She enjoyed spending her summer vacations in Stone Harbor, NJ.

In addition to Tim and the children, she is survived by her father, Tom, her step-mother Sandra, her sister Cari (Rob Jordan), brother Tommy (Jennifer), step-brother Kyle, step-sister Lauren (Tim Reardon), step-brother Reed Thompson (Zandria), Tim’s parents, Lettie and Paul Naski, her sister-in-law Kimberly Johnson (Aaron) and 13 nieces and nephews.

 

Stephanie’s life will be celebrated with a Requiem Mass at St.Thomas aBecket Catholic Church, 1421 Wiehle Avenue, Reston, Virginia, 20190, at 11:00AM on Thursday, September 28, 2023.  In lieu of flowers, please consider making a contribution to the American Cancer Society.
