Obituary of Kenneth Francis Rankin

Kenneth F. "Skinny" Rankin, age 59 of Front Royal, VA died on September 3, 2007 at the Veterans Hospital, Martinsburg, WV. He was born on February 9, 1948 in Lynchburg, VA. Kenneth served as a Sergeant in the United States Army 9 th Infantry during Vietnam from 1968 to 1970 where he was awarded the Bronze Star. Ken was an avid fisherman and family man. Kenneth was the beloved husband of Sally McDaniel Rankin, loving and devoted father of Christy Rankin of White Post, VA, Kenneth F. (Kip) Rankin, Jr. of Berryville, VA, John Paul Rankin of White Post, VA, Elizabeth Rankin of Christiansburg, VA, Michael Anthony Rankin of Shepherdstown, WV and Katherine Rankin of White Post, VA, son of Thelma Sullivan Rankin of Winchester, VA, brother of Patricia Pouget-Rankin of Stephenson, VA and Judy Thomas of Sevierville, TN, proud grandfather of Wyatt James Rankin. A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 8 th at 2pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA.
