I am truly sorry for VADM Wilkinson's passing. As a very young and immature junior officer, then CDR Wilkinson's leadership and class was the example I used during my career. His spirit, dedication, and professionalism will continue in all of the lives that he touched.

Dear Jane: So sorry to hear of VADM Joe's passing. I served with him in VA-94 and later at NAVAIR I was a Washington Rep for an engine company. He was always gracious in agreeing to meet with me in my second career. You will be in my prayers. I know how hard it is to lose someone that was so much a part of your life. Sincerely, Jeff Miles

To Jane and all the family...I am Sue, Dottie and Jim Wilson's daughter. You Jane, and your Joe, were such good and fun friends to my parents and I knew Joe as a man my Dad respected and loved. My personal favorite memory of Joe is the night Mom and Dad and I stayed with you both and Joe taught me to add a shot of rum over my strawberries and vanilla ice cream....delicious! You are all in my thoughts and prayers especially this week. Our family found a certain peace and acceptance of our separation from my Dad after his service at the Naval Academy in October; I hope you will find more to bring you comfort each day. With love and grateful thanks for friendship...Sue and Dottie
