Obituary of James Erik Richardson

James Erik Richardson (Jim) was born on November 20th 1971 in Omaha, Nebraska. He is a Native American and a full Member of the Omaha Tribe. He grew up in Sterling, Virginia and spent the majority of his life in the Northern Virginia area. Jim was a loving son to his parents Jacqueline (Jackie) & Daniel Richardson. He was a beloved brother to his sisters, Bridgette and Stephanie and to his brother, Tim. Jim had a large extended and loving family that includes Lyssa, his sister-in-law, his brothers-in-law, Mark and Rick, his nieces, Samantha, Courtney, Alyssa and Briana, nephews, Timothy and Ayden, as well as Peter, his uncle. Jim was named after his grandfather, James Vincent Foley. He was very close to his great-aunt, Maria and great-uncle, Leslie, and to his grandmother, Peggy. Jim had an unwavering love for all his family & friends which was always the foundation of his life. He touched many lives because of his giving and unselfish ways. His legacy has created a tremendous amount of happiness and countless memories in the lives of all his family and many friends. Jim spent most of his career in the Telecommunications Industry, where he was known for his excellent and precise work. He had a passion for the outdoors, fishing, hunting, as well as carpentry, country music and the Washington Redskins. Jim had an extraordinary gift for calligraphy and drawing that was recognized at a young age. On June 19th 2012, Jim was called home to Heaven by God where he now rests in peace. We pray and celebrate Jim and look forward to the day that we may meet again.
