Hello, my name is Justin Havenner, I have worked with Melissa for the past ten years or so and felt compelled to write. I have been out of town and got the terrible news this morning. What a kind, bubbly, sweet human being. I always enjoyed working with her, and though I never knew her outside of work I can only imagine what a wonderful wife, mother, and friend she must have been. I have a daughter about a year older than Melissas and always looked forward to our "bragging" sessions whenever we would talk. She was obviously just so in love with that little girl. My heart goes out to all of her friends and family and I'm sure you know far better than I what type of person she was. She is proof that you can impact those around you through every relationship you make, business, personal, or otherwise. Every moment, every thought, every action, matters. I am was so sorry to learn of Melissa's untimely passing. I wish I had gotten to know her better during her time at CBC. I did not realize she was a teacher at MM Pierce where my granddaughter just graduated from this year. I pray the Lord will give you comfort and peace as only He can, and may the many memories of Melissa bring joy to your heart.

When i heard of her passing tears fulled my eyes. I don't think i ever meet a person that was so kind and never judged anyone . She always took the negative and turn it around to a positive. She will be missed and thought of by many people . My heart goes out to her family .

I am a daily Washington Post reader. When I learned of this tragedy in the paper today, I was given pause. Lora Melissa Myers. Could this be my friend from MM Pierce? I prayed not and tried in vain to find more information throughout the course of the day to tell me no. Sadly, my search brought me here. I am terribly saddened that the life of this wonderful human being was cut so tragically short. What a bright and shining star. Always a smile on that lovely face. Even though she left Pierce years ago, I have never forgotten her. She is the type of person that leaves a mark. I cannot begin to imagine your grief. I pray that the Lord shelters you and holds you in the palm of His hand. So very, very sorry, MJ Nary
