Obituary of Lora Melissa Myers

Our precious wife, mother, daughter and friend Lora Melissa Myers, 38, of Ashburn entered into heaven on June 30, 2012, from injuries sustained in a tragic automobile accident suffered on June 28 in Fairfax County. Melissa was born on June 5, 1974. She is survived by the love of her life, husband Douglas Myers and her precious 18-month old daughter, Lora Grace both of Ashburn. She is also survived by her loving mother and best friend, Lora Baker Bickley of Louisa, VA; her mother-in-law Margaret Myers (Don), Ashburn, VA; brother-in-law Jeffrey Myers, Arizona; sister-in-law Lisa Settle (Stan),Ashburn, VA; brother-in-law Michael Myers (Melinda) Erie, PA; brother-in-law Bradley Myers (Kimberly) Ashburn, VA and her many loving family members. Melissa was preceded in death by her grandparents Lin & Virginia Baker of Orange, VA and Lynwood & Beatrice Bickley of Louisa, VA. She is also survived by her father Harvey Bickley of Louisa, VA. Melissa was a graduate of Louisa County High School and Mary Baldwin College. She was an elementary school teacher in Louisa and Fauquier counties before beginning a career in kitchen design at Mid-South Building Supply in Springfield, VA. At Mid-South Melissa was the Kitchen Showroom Manager at the time of her death. Melissa was a member of Temple Baptist Church in Herndon. Visitation will be at Temple Baptist Church in Herndon, VA on Thursday, July 5 from 1:00 - 3:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. with services at the church on Friday, July 6 at 10:00 a.m. Services at Preddy,s Funeral Home in Gordonsville, VA will be visitation on Friday, July 6 from 3:30 - 5:30 p.m. with services beginning at 5:30 p.m. Burial will be at Hillcrest Cemetery in Louisa, VA.
