I was a little girl when Grandma painted "Alice" she would always tell me that she used me as her model to make Alice just perfect in her painting. Now, Alice hangs in the hallway of my home and I couldn't feel more special to have a part of you so close when we always lived so far. Georgia took care of more than just her 3 loving sons. She was a mother to many of their friends. They loved her and she loved them and whoever was connected to them. Her smile was contagious, just like her boys and she was willing to go anywhere to spend time with them and their families. She was an amazing artist whose style and grace carried throughout her canvasses. Take care of your other son up there, Georgia, he loved you as his other mom !!

Knowing the Alkire family personally for over 25 years now, it was a pleasure to be on a different side professionally as Georgia's hospice companion. I would visit her weekly and she would welcome me with big smiles and lovely conversations! Although she may have lost some memory - I will tell you that she NEVER forgot all 3 of her boys and could recall & communicate each one of their names on every one of my visits. She was a gentle, beautiful and caring soul. She can rest now :) I love the Alkire family and she will be truely missed!
