Obituary of Edward Joseph Smith

SMITH, Edward Joseph, 44, of Chantilly, VA passed away on October 15, 2012 in his home surrounded by his immediate family. Loving husband to his dedicated and equally loving wife Mary Jo for 12 years and devoted and nurturing father to Emma and Abigail. Survived by extended family, nieces and nephews along with countless friends all over the globe who loved and supported him. A federal law enforcement officer for 20 years, 14 years of which he dedicated as Special Agent for the Department of Homeland Security and legacy US Customs. His service for DHS-ICE was admirable and treasured, a valuable asset that will be missed. Visitation is on Friday October 19, 2012 from 4pm-8pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home, Herndon, VA (www.adamsgreen.com). A funeral mass of Christian Burial will be at St Veronica Catholic Church, Chantilly, VA on Saturday October 20, 2012 at 11:00am. Interment will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park. The family requests that memorial donations be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society (www.lls.org) in Edwards memory.
