Doris has been my friend for many years. I will miss seeing her in the various functions we attended at McLean Bible Church.Doris truly exemplified the words of Paul to Timothy when he wrote I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race. I have kept the faith. Now there is in store for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will award to me on that day--and not only to me, but also to all who have longed for His appearing. Kathy and Karen you will miss your Mother, but how wonderful to know she is in Her Lord's presence.

10-26-2012 So sorry to hear of your loss. We, too, shall miss Doris and her pleasant greetings in Primetime or whenever and wherever we met up with her. I had hoped to be at the service today, but was unable to attnd. I will keep you all in our prayers. She is gone from us for now, but Christ's return is very soon.

Cathy and Karen, I am sorry to hear about your Mom. She will no longer have any pain or suffering, now that she is with our Lord. She was a wonderful example to all of us. I kept in touch by phone with her even though we moved to Palm Coast, FL. She was a real encouragement to me and a good friend. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Love, Betty

I was friends with Doris in a Bible Study. She was always joyous about serving the Lord. We always had a wonderful time talking when we all went to lunch. I will keep her family in prayer. It is nice to know she is now in the arms of Jesus.

My prayers and love reach out to Cathy and Karen at this time. It is so comforting to know that your Mom is no longer struggling to breathe and is rejoicing with the Lord! But I also know how very much you will miss her physical presence with you. You will always miss her (I do my own Mom) but as believers we know we will see her again one day. Although I now attend the Prince William campus I so remember the sweet spirit that was so much a part of my memories of my Primetime Sunday School family at Tyson's campus. My thoughts and prayers are with you at this difficult time. Doris and I worked together for many years and became good friends. I will miss our many email conversations since retirement. She was a good friend and we shared many laughs together. Doris gave me the nickname of "Barbarino" and that memory will always make me smile. I will miss her.

Until she began failing, Doris was stalwart in her attendance at Primetime Community of McLean Bible Church, but she continued to attend the church regularly to worship the Lord she obviously knew and loved. We will miss her very much!
