At a fundraising event Jen and I we were having our usual good time with Kathy and Raf... Raf had already bid and won numerous "baskets." The Live Auction was going on while we were all talking and laughing among ourselves.. Suddenly - Raf starts bidding... the numbers started to get big - and low and behold Raf won! He bid 5K! - "Raf, what did you bid on?" He responded - "I am not sure - but its for charity and they are good people!"

Rafi was such a kind soul with a warm heart. His laughter was infectious, his love for his family deserved admiration, his hugs were warm and embracing, and he simply loved life. I just pray that you all (and we all) can get through this untimely tragedy and be stronger and more united because of it. Not that we aren't united already. We've been blessed to have such a strong family thanks to our Dominguez family fathers and mothers like Flora, Juancito, Roberto and my father Antonio. I hope we will continue to be united in ways other than weddings and funerals. Family meant everything to Rafi. I believe it means everything to all of us, as well. Let us try our best to keep this family united as I'm sure those who have passed before us would like to see it happen as well, especially Rafi.

We were all deeply saddened at the terrible news of the accident that took the life of our beloved cousin Rafi.
He loved everyone that crossed his path. But most importantly, he allowed himself to be loved.
I will never forget the first time he gave me one of those warm bear hugs, his infectious smile and trademark kiss on the cheek. Of course the words "Te quiero primo" (I love you cousin), after all that... Oh we're going to miss you primo.
Our hearts ache for Kathy and Gaby, all his brothers, Kathy's family and all who knew him.
May you all find peace in knowing that he's in a better place now. At the right hand of the father with his Mom and Dad.
