Obituary of Rafael Jesus Dominguez

Dominguez, Rafael Jesus "Raf" (age 47) Of Oak Hill, VA, beloved husband of Kathy Dominguez; loving and devoted father of Gabriella Dominguez, unexpectedly passed away on Sunday January 6, 2013. He is also survived by his brothers Roberto, Raul and Ricardo, their wives, and his nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Roberto and Nilda and loving sister-in-law, Joan. Raf's professional career included 20 years of finance experience in a range of industries, including high technology, software development, government contracting, and professional services. In his most recent position as Chief Financial Officer (CFO) and Treasurer of CRGT, Raf led CRGT's mergers and acquisitions (M&A) initiatives, including identifying strategic targets, conducting due diligence, and heading negotiations. In his personal life, Raf worked hard, laughed hard, played hard and loved hard. He was an incredibly talented, passionate and caring person, full of life and joy, committed deeply to his faith, to his family, his friends, his work and to a number of charitable causes he was personally involved in. The family will receive friends from 2-5pm on Sunday January 13, 2013, at Adams-Green Funeral Home, 721 Elden St. Herndon, VA 20170. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at 11:00 am Monday, January 14, 2013 at St. John Neumann Catholic Church 11900 Lawyers Rd. Reston, VA. A reception for family and friends will be held at the International Country Club, 13200 Lee Side Court, Fairfax, VA 22033 from 1:00 to 3:00 PM following the funeral mass. Interment will be private.
