I am so sorry for your loss. Elfriede (or Jeff's mom as she always was to me) was a lovely, elegant woman. She always made me feel welcome at her home, whether for a holiday meal with your family, or just a casual bbq on a nice day. I have fond memories of sharing a big laugh about "Struwwelpeter" the children's "discipline" book with her over a glass of wine. Please know that you are all in my thoughts, and I send you love and strength in this difficult time.

My heartfelt condolences go out to you Ron and Jeffrey You are both in my prayers and thoughts. I will always retain memories of Elfie created from the many years of friendship that has existed between our two families. My children always thought that Elfie was the best cook in the world when they ate her wienerschnitzel. I found Elfie to be a faithful and true friend. We shared some wonderful moments- attending mass at Christmas with our mothers and children, sharing confidences while sitting in the sauna at the Sporting Club, enjoying a bottle of wine in the freezing cold after skiing at Wintergreen with a mutual friend, Sandy Nesbitt Shaw, and hanging out together at countless soccer meets for our children and coach husbands. I loved Elfie's voice and accent. It was magical for me because her voice expressed so much joi de vie. Just three weeks ago, she was looking ahead with hope. She was determined to enjoy every single moment of life that she had left. She was a beautiful woman and is now a beautiful and unforgetable soul. I will miss you, Elfie and I will always love you, my friend. Cindy Todd

So sorry for your loss. I know this is a very difficult time for the family. Something that has always given me comfort is a scripture at Revelation 21:4, it says, "And he will wipe out every tear from their eyes, and death will be no more, neither will mourning nor outcry nor pain be anymore. The former things have passed away.” I sincerely hope this brings you some comfort.
