Your husband was a good man, a co-worker, and friend. I admired how he always had a way to calmly handle a difficult situation and break it down to where everyone understood what the real issue was. I don't believe I have ever met someone who was as good with that exceptional skill. I remember the times we worked and travelled together and I won't forget him. May he rest in peace and may God bless you and your family during this difficult time. I looked up to him and I will miss him.

We are so sad to hear about Bill's passing. We always enjoyed our visits with Bill. He always fit right in with us Idaho people. He was one of those people that you liked instantly and I knew he would be a friend forever. Even though our visits were sometimes brief, we will miss him, as he was part of our family. Please know that our hearts and prayers are with you both.

Since the death of my mother and sister, the dragon fly has become my sign that they are still with me. It appears at unexpected times and places - like in a silk wreath just before I left to visit my nieces. May you find "your sign" to comfort you.

Bill was a great friend to me, Dick Cato, Hugh Barry, and so many others. For years we would eat lunch at a small café across from the Kidwell Building in Tysons. We'd solve all the problems of the world and then come back the next day to solve them again.

It was an honor to know Bill. In the time I worked for him he served as mentor not only on the job but in life. He will be greatly missed. My sincerest condolences to the family.

Bill was a terrific colleague for nearly 10 years at SAIC. He gave me support, mentoring, advice and probably four dozen unique stories about the Boeing Airplane Company of Seattle, Washington, each of which he told me at least four times. I’ll miss his humor, patience, impatience, stories and friendship. My family and I will keep Karen and her family in our thoughts as we remember Bill. He was a giant.

In my many years of working with Bill at SAIC, every interaction confirmed my initial impression - this was a very smart, very dedicated, very humble man who appreciated others and treated them with great respect. I am honored to have known Bill, will think of him as having made a lasting impression wiht regard to how life is to be lived. Thank you for sharing him with us, all who knew him will carry his memory forward
