The South Australian Community owes a lot to Bob. I met him when he was leader of the EDS Team implementing the Government IT Reform project in the '90's and I was the leader of the Government Team. Bob was a very good leader and a true gentleman. He always kept his eye on the big picture, and was very straight, honest and open minded, and ready to discuss new ideas. One of the very good ones. I worked with Bob many times over the years. But I have particularly fond memories of our times in Hong Kong, Australia and New Zealand. I first met Bob at the EDS Blue Shield account in San Juan in 1974. Our paths crossed during his tours in the EDS Government Group in Bethesda and Herndon. He was always a true gentleman and example to those who worked for and with him. He will be sorely missed by all.

Few people in my working life have had an impact on me quite like Bob. I admired his calm dignity, dogged determination and his finely honed ability to listen and absorb. I am proud of the deep friendship we developed and equally proud to have come to know and cherish one of his greatest assets – Kris. There is a little empty space in my heart now that Bob has gone but there is also a little part of him that will always be with me. Thanks for what you taught me, Bob; for the happy times we shared; for the special memories I have; and for sharing with Michael and I the fine family you have left behind.
