Robert A Young Bob Young passed away quietly on May 15th at home surrounded by his family after a long battle with cancer. Bob is survived by his wife, Kristine; four children, Peter Young (Ivey), Amanda Young, Molly Albrigo (Kevin), and Adam Young (Gina); four sisters, Judy Wiser, Jane Donoho, Mary Lou LaPlaunt, and Pat Eisenberg. Bob's career was in the IT Services Industry from which he retired in 2007 after working 37 years for Electronic Data Systems (EDS). Much of Bob's career with EDS involved living and/or working internationally helping to introduce EDS into new markets, One of Bob's career highlights was being chosen by Ross Perot to be part of a small team of volunteers to rescue two EDS executives being illegally held by the Iranian government during the Iranian revolution in 1979 and as documented in the only non-fiction book by author Ken Follet, "On WIngs of Eagles". Bob also enjoyed a good game of golf, fine wine, and was an active member of Floris Methodist Church. Bob was a loving husband and father, and will be missed by his family and many friends. A Memorial Service will be held Wednesday May 22, 11AM, at Floris United Methodist Church, 13600 Frying Pan Rd. Herndon, VA.
