I apologize for the late writing of this. My Grandmother is a leader, strong, roll model and full of spirit. As my nice said on Facebook, "As you enter your new heavenly home, may you rest in peace for which you truly deserve, For you will be truly missed and remembered for your love and honor in which we will preserve." In my opinion, there is no better way to put this. Anyone who knows my Grandmother will understand the above statement is all to true. I remembered when my Grandfather past, I was 14. I remember her saying how hard it was going to be for her without him here, yet she made it look so easy. She carried on and continued to spread her charm, wisdom and sense of humor for the next 28 years. Now she has been rewarded for her patience and loyalty to our Heavenly Father. She has peace, She has Harry her husband and she is in the presence of God to which I am sure watched over her and provided comfort, while here on earth. One of the many things that stood out to me when I was older and able to understand her actions was how she treats new comers or people she had just met. It was always "Mr. whoever" or "Mrs. whoever". No first name. I really liked that style of showing respect. I have adopted that (not sure how to put it) style or habit of formality and I can now "see" why my Grandmother has so many friends. I remember going to school right across the street where she used to live. I thought that place was so much fun. She had a detached garage and a very large yard with beautiful trees. One year it had snowed like crazy. I remember her helping me get dressed up to go out and have my way with the snow. I played so long that when the clothes finally got so soaked and reached my fingers, I realized I was freezing. Well when I came inside, much to my surprise, the room was filled with the most wonderful scent that instantly made me forget about how cold I was. She had been fabricating a soup that I could have eaten at least 2 stock pots of. (Or at least given it a good try to. And I would have to.) My Grandmother was one of those people who knew about all the little things that made a big difference. I can write a book on all the things that I remember about her and all of the "little" things she did for me. More than any word of any language can produce, I just hope now that she is at rest, she understands how much I really do appreciate all the "little" things she did for me. They meant alot. They created excellent memories that I will never forget. I love you Grandma.
