Dear John & family, you have been in our thoughts & prayers. Starr was a very special woman, She always seemed to have a smile on her face through it all. I, Kate, just wanted to pass on something that helped me get through when my mom passed about 12 yrs. ago. You may recall that she had been confined to a wheelchair & not able to do much for herself the last several years of her life. Shortly after her death the group Mercy Me came out with their song " I can only imagine" . The song talks about what they imagine might happen when they are in the presence of Jesus in heaven. One of the verses questions "will I dance for you Jesus or in awe of you be still?" When I heard that song I could imagine my mom being able to dance in the presence of Jesus. She was no longer confined to a wheelchair, she was free of all her afflictions! To this day, whenever I hear that song I think of my mom but in the last few days since hearing of Starr's passing I have been visualizing Starr dancing in the presence of Jesus free of all of her afflictions. I hope you can find comfort in knowing that Starr is in the presence of Jesus able to do what her body hasn't been able to do.

John, My prayers are with you now and always. A Pastor once shared that our passing is like a ship sailing to sea, as the ship departs our earthly shore all of us are waving good-bye and as the ship reaches her eternal shore God and His family are waiting, waving hello and welcoming us home.
