Obituary of Regina Frances Erwin

One of eight children, Regina Frances Erwin was born at home on May 23, 1937 in Allegany County, Virginia to Arthur and Velma Howard. As young adult, Regina worked for Clarendon Trust Company as a bank teller, returning to the profession after her children were grown. She was a fifty year resident of Sterling Park, Virginia and committed to the community. While in the Sterling Park Women's Club, Regina was instrumental in establishing the first library in Sterling Park, was a founding member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Sterling Volunteer Rescue Squad, and was very active in Girl Scouts. Regina is survived by her loving husband, Warner Elliott Erwin, her daughters Tami Eckstein, Trina Erwin and Stephanie Behn; her sisters Patricia Andrews, Eleanor Gaye Vann, Martha Blair and Bertha Howard; and her brothers Arthur Howard and Carter Howard. Regina has four grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her parents Arthur and Velma Howard, and by her sister Joyce Porterfield. A memorial service is schedule for August 7, 2013 1:00pm at Adams-Green Funeral Home in Herndon, Virginia. Immediately following the service, the family will receive visitors at their home in Sterling Park, Virginia.
