When Barry was a Senior, we made a trip to Loudoun County High School, all players at this time were given player passes for entry into game. Barry for one reason or another forgot his player pass. Being a well-known starter for us,we thought little about this problem. But when we arrived at the game the Athletic Director refused to allow Barry in without his pass, thus the late Coach Edwards without hesitation paid Barrys' entry into the game. I will always remember the Fords' and their committment to Park View High School.

Barry, I am devastated by your passing. We worked together for years and you were one of my favorite people. I remember the numerous times you had the people in our work area in stitches with laughter. You could tell a story and perform it so well. I remember your love for your dog, Brittany, and how you use to chase the bird that was trying to attack her whenever she went out. My greatest memory was the day I lost the stone out of my ring. I sent out an email asking if anyone came across the stone, to please let me know. The ring was sentimental as it came from someone that was now deceased. Little did I know that You would go out and check the entire parking lot and find that stone for me. You were an extraordinary person, and so very kind. I enjoyed working with you and will miss you terribly. This world can not afford to lose a loving soul like yourself. My heart goes out to your family. R I P my soul brother and dear friend. Geri

I finally earned my way to work front desk at the Holiday Inn. Barry who had just graduated from PVHS and Mel & Greg ask if I could "secure" them a room to get together with some football players... Mel & Greg were in my class and I knew their circle of friends. Barry who was in the class ahead of me was great at making you feel that you were his only friend. Well I should I known that Barry who played all sports had exponential number of friends. Needless to say, I found out that everyone was Barry's friend when the room overflowed with people and the parking lot was full. Although I got fired from my "dream" job since no one was suppose to be in that room, it dawned on me that I was lucky in how nice Barry was to me given the plethora of friends he had! I hope that as Barry's family struggles with his loss, they remember the good times with Barry. Barry definitely had a positive affect in my life...

Our prayers and thoughts are with the Ford Family during this very sad time. A loss of a love one is so very hard to understand. A loss of someone so young leaves us asking "why". God decided he needed Barry, not something we can question. Just know that we pray with you and shed tears with you over the loss of your loved one. May God surround you with his love as your friends and family surround you with loving comfort. God Bless.
