Obituary of Barry Thomas Ford

Barry Thomas Ford, 53, of Sterling Park, Va., passed away on Wednesday January 8, 2014, in Lansdowne Va. Born on January 24, 1960, in Keyser W Va. to the late Chick and Evon Ford. Barry was a 50 year resident of Sterling Park, one of the original families. He was a 1978 graduate of Park View High School, the first graduating class at the school. He excelled in baseball, basketball, and football at Park View. He was an all-district football player the first year at the school. He then attended Potomac State College where he also played football. He was a graduate of The Computer Learning Center and worked for many years in the computer field. His true passion was coaching football, the sport he coached for over 30 years. Most of those years were in Lower Loudoun Boys football and this last year in the Ashburn youth football league with his best friend Tim Lafollette. He also coached at Park View for several years where he touched the lives of many young people. Barry enjoyed life, loved to have a good time, laugh, and music. He had an infectious positive attitude that made a difference to every person he met. He will be greatly missed by his family and many friends. He leaves behind his loving children, son, Brandon Ford of Ashburn, and daughter Lindsay Ford of Ashburn, the prides of his life. His ex-wife Cindy Vosnock Ford, still a great friend. Brother, Danny Ford of Sterling and Sister Julie and her husband, Randy Kerico of Sterling. A niece, Amber Kerico and nephew, Kory Kerico. A celebration of his life will be held on Friday January 17, 2014, At the Sterling United Methodist Church, 304 E Church Rd. Sterling, from 5pm-8 pm. A reception will be held at the church following the service. Arrangements by Adams/Greene Funeral Home.
