Jerrie Milloy Herbert
Jerrie Milloy Herbert passed peacefully on March 5, 2014, surrounded with love by family and friends. Born in Washington, D.C., on January 23, 1948, to parents James Milloy, Jr. and Edna Trail Milloy, Jerrie resided in Ashburn, VA in recent years.
More than anything else Jerrie loved her days in the Outer Banks, where she spent her time with family and her cherished grandchildren. Fourth of July at the beach with Jerrie meant decorating the house with red, white, and blue lights, wearing patriotic flag tee shirts, organizing a parade for children and adults alike, and viewing fireworks from the deck overlooking the ocean. Our lives, especially on July 4, will never be the same without her.
Jerrie was predeceased by her devoted husband, Harry A. (Tony) Herbert, and by her brother, John. She is survived by her loving sons: James (Jimmy) Spore and his wife Gretchen, and Commander Jonathan (Jon) Spore and his wife Jennifer. She is also survived by her most-precious grandchildren, Mitchell, Landon, and Marian, who lovingly call her Mimi. Seven loving siblings, Jim Milloy, Janet Milloy, Judy Campbell, Jill Milloy, Jackie Longerbeam, Jeff Milloy, and Jennie Dezulovich, survive Jerrie.
Friends may call from 4 PM until 7 PM on Saturday, March 8, at the ADAMS-GREEN FUNERAL HOME, 721 Elden Street, Herndon, VA and where services will be held on Sunday, March 9, at 1 PM.
