Uncle L.T. was a very spontaneous and generous person with everyone he met. He added a great deal to my life and left me with many memories to treasure. The most pleasure I remember came from hearing him play the piano and sing. Other men joined him in Grandma Bowen's living room and sang quartet songs. The children were allowed to stay and listen. Other fond memories were of all the adults sitting on the front porch telling stories at the end of the day. All the children were spellbound as they listened. And sometimes we would all sing and I feel this added to my life as I have always loved to sing and loved music. A very special song I remember Uncle L.T. singing was one he seemed to especially love. It was about Ireland and called Gallway Bay. At the end of the song it said "And if there is going to be a life hereafter, and somehow I am sure theres going to be. I will ask my God to let me make my heaven, in that fair land across the irish Sea." I can hear him singing now. The angels are being blessed by his presence. Thank you Uncle L.T. for sharing your beautiful life with us.

A good memory that I have from childhood is of my uncle L.T. sitting at the piano in Grandma Bowen's living room. The walls of the room were purple and he is playing the song "Deep Purple." He also sang beautifully. I miss him.

Tears streamed down his face as I held my cell phone while his favorite ballad played:
Now the hacienda's dark
The town is sleeping
Now the time has come to part
The time for weeping
Vaya con dios, my darling
Vaya con dios, my love
Now the village mission bells are softly ringing
If you listen with your heart
You'll hear them singing
Vaya con dios, my darling
Vaya con dios, my love
Wherever you may be, I'll be beside you
Although you're many million dreams away
Each night I'll say a pray'r
A pray'r to guide you
To hasten every lonely hour
Of every lonely day
Now the dawn is breaking through a gray tomorrow
But the memories we share are there to borrow
Vaya con dios, my darling
Vaya con dios, my love

Uncle L.T. was a part of our childhood. We have memories of playing with Tony and of Susie, Benny, and George as babies. We've lost a legend.

I always felt loved by LT. Lake Anne is a place of my mid years. I use to see LT fishing at Lake Anne in the 90's and early 2000's I believe. None of us whom really loved him will ever fish alone again. Godspeed to our Uncle LT.

We never really lose the people we love. They live on in our actions and thoughts and contribute to our character in ways we do not always realize. L.T. was such an important part of so many lives - in ways that are known and many that are, and will remain, a mystery. He will live on in the memories of his family, his friends, and those who had the pleasure of knowing him through only brief encounters. As we celebrate his life and the legacy he created, there will be strength in the closeness of family and comfort in the memories we share.

You are now gone and we stop to think it over again.
And can't believe we'll never see on this earthly plane.
It seems just like yesterday when we did first meet.
You standing in front of a fire ablaze at your feet.
You loaned us a fiver that evening so late.
It bought us one of the first married meals we ate.
That's something we never forgot.
Over the years we laughed a lot.
Fought, forgave and forgot.
Our friendship spanned nearly fifty years.
Through tears sorrows and fears.
You gave us your love and companionship.
Taught us that prayers would get us through this.
While from us now you are now gone away.
You are not far... you were felt in the wind today.
While you are gone from us in the flesh and bone.
It is through faith that you taught us we know we are not alone.
We know we will see on the other side and you won't be hard to find.
You'll be the angel with the fish on the line.
With Love and Affection Tony and Ann
