Obituary of Barbara Ann Fletcher

Barbara Ann Fletcher (age 66) On June 14, 2014 at her residence in Sperryville, VA; Barbara was born March 9, 1948 and raised in Loudoun County and was active in school and 4-H. She graduated from Loudoun County High School and James Madison University. She earned her Master's degree from Virginia Tech. She spent 33 years at Herndon High School first as an English Teacher and then Guidance Counselor. Upon retirement, she moved to her dream home in Sperryville where, surrounded by friends and neighbors, she continued in education by working with the Hearthstone School and worked for a local veterinarian. Barbara is survived by her mother Gertrude, brother, Tom (Carol), Niece Catherine, nephew Brian and great niece and nephew Taryn and Brock. A graveside service will take place at 10:00am on Wednesday June 18, 2014 at Sterling Cemetery on Church Rd in Sterling, VA. Jane D Mullan to officiate. Barbara requested no flowers.
